The following warranty terms apply to standard household use.

All simplehuman products are backed by the added security of our warranty. We warrant that your simplehuman product will be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal household use and cared for according to the simplehuman care and maintenance instructions during your simplehuman product's warranty period. Minor imperfections and slight colour variations may be considered normal. This warranty excludes damage from misuse or abuse, such as improper cleaning, neglect, accident, alteration, fire, theft, or use in a commercial establishment.

Your simplehuman product must be registered with us before we can perform warranty service. To register, please complete our product registration form.

Should you find your product in need of service, please submit a troubleshooting form online. At simplehuman's discretion, we will provide replacement parts for your product, or provide a prepaid returns label to return the product to us for replacement. If it cannot be repaired, we will replace it with either the same model, or, if unavailable, a similar model of comparable value.

Though we will not repair products whose warranty period has expired, replacement parts may be available for purchase. Replacement buckets for some bins are also available for purchase online. For all other inquiries, please contact our customer service department.

  • A copy of your dated proof of purchase may be required prior to any claims under our warranty.
  • Your simplehuman product has been manufactured to strict specifications and has been designed for use with simplehuman authorised accessories and replacement parts. This warranty expressly excludes any defects or damages caused by accessories, replacement parts and repair services other than those authorised by simplehuman.
  • This warranty is applicable to private residential customers only. It does not apply to retailers and commercial establishments.
  • Specially discounted and/or discontinued merchandise may not be covered by our warranty.

What's not covered

  • Normal wear and tear — including dents and scratches that occur over time.
  • Intentional damage.
  • Loss or theft of product.
  • Thrown away parts or products.
  • Modified products.
  • Damage caused by external sources such as weather.
  • All incidental or consequential damages that result from user mishandling or use of a simplehuman product other than in its intended, household capacity.
  • Warranty is valid only in the country where the simplehuman product was purchased.
  • Contents (soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, gel, etc) and batteries in the unit .
  • Products purchased As-Is or from unauthorised retailers such as eBay, garage sales, Craig's List and thrift stores.
  • Dissatisfaction with product.
