multi-sense™ technology is an adaptive sensor technology designed to keep our sensor bin in sync with your tasks. It's responsive to your actions, modulating the sensor range and automatically changing behaviour, so it always does the right thing at the right time. The trigger zone is a focused space directly above the lid. It's easy to reach when you want to use the bin.

But it's also very precise. The sensor signal doesn't spill out in front of the bin where it can be mistakenly triggered when you walk nearby.

ready mode

Once the lid is open, the trigger zone extends to become more sensitive to activity. That way the bin is sure to know if you're still in the area, so the lid won't close before you've finished your task.

task mode

For longer chores, like changing the liner or cleaning up after dinner, the lid conveniently stays open for an extended period.

After 3 seconds of continued activity, the bin switches to a 30-second stay-open mode… even if you step away.

Our new sensor bin has lots of features that make dealing with rubbish cleaner and easier. We only use the best materials and engineering to ensure our products will last for years. Every feature and component is refined and tested until we're completely satisfied with performance and durability.

Things can get pretty rough in the typical family kitchen. We engineered our sensor bin to work smoothly in real-life conditions.

Slam the lid down, overstuff it, or even stop it with your hand. The clutch system will temporarily disengage to prevent damage to you or the motor.

A robust motor smoothly and quietly moves the lid up and down.

If anything interferes with the lid's movement, the gears disengage to prevent damage.

Rubbish smells. It's one of those unfortunate facts of life. That's why we've integrated an odorsorb™ filter compartment directly into the inner lid. Our odorsorb™ filters use carbon to eliminate odours naturally. After all, your kitchen should smell like today's home cooking, not like yesterday's banana skins.

The battery compartment is located on the back of the can. No fumbling under the lid to change batteries.

With the sensor bin's efficient power management, 6 C batteries last up to a full year.
